Who We Are
As development grows along Timor-Leste's coastline, so does the need for professional divers - people trained to work safely in low or zero visibility, to use equipment for search and recovery, and to operate to proper protocols. Until now, the answer has often meant looking beyond Timor-Leste's borders or relying on dive centres to take on work outside their experience. APE Scuba Engineering is here to close that gap.
What we bring is a team of technical and public safety divers with hundreds of hours in zero-visibility condition. We are qualified scuba technicians and marine scientists - people who understand both the diving and what is actually being looked for underwater. We are ready to take on straightforward commercial tasks and eager to grow our capacity as Timor-Leste's industry needs.
Our lead safety diver and operations manager brings a decade of experience diving Timor-Leste's coasts. This background was built by working in commercial operations with partners such as Hydrokinetiks, Cement Timor Trading SA, TimorGap, Ocean Bold Explorer, and China Harbour Engineering Company, among others.

Our work is carried out by certified technical divers with years of experience operating in Timor-Leste's specific conditions. The currents, visibility, remote coastal environments, and logistical complexity are just a few of the factors to take into account when working in a country still developing its maritime infrastructure.
Every job includes insured divers, emergency equipment on site, full risk assessment documentation, and a final report with high definition imagery.
Where We're Headed
Our commitment is this: as local demand grows, so will we - adding equipment, certifications, capacity, and capabilities aligned to what Timor-Leste's industry actually needs. Part of that growth includes training Timorese divers for this emerging sector and building local capacity alongside our own.
